Dear Marla,

After learning that Lorraine was a bit kinky, herself, I felt emboldened to  send her a link to my online bookmark manager. I set it to allow her to have access to bookmarks, which I had tagged as 'rubberotica'.  Included in this group were many of my own writings. I usually write very short stories which are probably better described as 'cookbook scenarios' - more like a recipe for one of my rubberotic fantasies. There were dozens of them under my nom du plume of 'Thalia'.

We were in the middle of a conversation about the BDSM side of Deep Rubber. On a whim, as we were talking, I sent her the link, saying, "I just sent you a link to my bookmarks for Rubberist literature that has caught my interest. Many of these are just scenarios of fantastical, delicious rubber tortures, but it will give you a good idea of just how imaginative people can be."

Then, without really thinking about it I added. "I'd love to at least try most of them."

After that I did not think about it. In fact, I pretty much forgot about it.

That was a week ago. I had shoved it out of my consciousness completely by now.

Then, out of the clear, blue sky this morning at breakfast, James smiled broadly and said, "Hey Thalia, I don't think I could make your Iron Maiden, but I have some experience with building 'storage' coffins." Then he grinned from ear to ear.

He had read my Iron Maiden story about a heavy, cast-iron coffin  that someone had forged from a liberal amount of hot, liquid, molten iron and a mold of someone's entire body. The result was two halves of heavy cast iron that were so heavy it took a big  winch and cables to lift each one.  There was only a 1'' hole at the mouth for breathing, feeding, etc.  It was really the psychology of the utter inescapability and hopelessness aspects of this 'predicament' that appealed to the author.
